EveryStep Giving Tree
EveryStep Giving Tree thrift store helps carry out the EveryStep non-profit mission by directing all proceeds from thrift store sales toward programs and services which benefit EveryStep's patients, clients, and their families.
In October 2010, EveryStep opened EveryStep Giving Tree thrift store at 3330 100th St. in Urbandale, Iowa. We provide exceptional, unique merchandise at affordable prices to our customers in Des Moines and central Iowa. The resale store is a local favorite thanks to its department-store-like environment, friendly shopping experience, and the high quality of its merchandise. Since its opening, the store's showroom has expanded twice to accommodate the growing amount of gently used donations from supporters. EveryStep Giving Tree gladly accepts donations of clothing, accessories, furniture, home décor, bedding, household items, and more. All donations and store sales support EveryStep’s programs, including hospice care, grief support, and services for children and families. EveryStep Giving Tree is operated by a small group of staff and a strong corps of dedicated volunteers.

Donate
EveryStep Giving Tree gratefully accepts your donations of gently used furniture, clothing and accessories, home décor and household items. We prefer donations be dropped off at the back of our store at 3330 100th Street. If you have a large donation and are unable to arrange for a drop-off, please call us at 515-270-2414; we may be able to schedule a pick-up.

Volunteer
EveryStep Giving Tree is always looking for enthusiastic, energetic volunteers who are able to share at least four hours per week supporting our non-profit mission. To learn about the different ways you can volunteer your time, please email us or contact our volunteer coordinator at 515-270-2414. Volunteer roles Include:
- Clothing steamer.
- Fitting room attendant.
- Clothes washer.
- Clothing straightener.
- Pricer.
- Back door greeter (to accept donations).
- Dish washer.

This is one example of what your patronage to the store does for your committee.
Angela had been able to visit her mother in June of 2024, but had not been able to return to Fairfield since Martha’s health declined and EveryStep Hospice began providing care. Knowing how meaningful another visit would be for both Angela and Martha, Katie contacted the EveryStep Foundation to see if a wish could be fulfilled.
And the EveryStep Foundation said yes.
